I was going to post a comment, on this too. It was a "what the hell
are you doing, I don't need any help beating this stiff" look.
I don't know about a face turn, but this may be another sign of
an impending split.

The stiff, by the way, was Jim Powers. I hadn't seen him for a while;
he looks bad as a jobber - usually the "ham'n'egger" style jobber just
looks like a slab of beef being tossed around (inert), but Powers just
looks silly moving at a rate that's got to be half of what he's capable
of - you just see him holding back. Can't we have another mini-push?

Please, no. IMHO, there is NO one who can kill a crowd like Powers. I was at
a show in Sacramento in March, I think Powers was wrestling Repo Man (and lost,
go figure). In this match, EVERYONE in the Arco arena got up and bought a
Coke. Actually, I and a friend stayed to watch (My friend couldn't stop
laughing at him--"Is he still wearing that jacket? Can't Vince afford to get
him a new one?"). Every time it seemed like Powers was getting the upper hand
(ie, Powers did a move and started screaming like he was pumped up), the crowd
_ignored_ him! And since they weren't going to root for the other guy either,
they just sat there like cows.

It is people like Powers who are keeping Barry Horowitz out of the limelight
they so richly deserve.

I guess it wasn't just me.

Hey, at least he got theme music.
