She liked my pro wrestling writing, she understood my arcane references to the Mexican television I had to watch in college because there was no cable, and most importantly she liked "Joe Jackson: Live 1980-86" as much as I did so I knew pretty early on that she was the one. There was the matter of her being in New York while I was in California to get past but I suppose the terrorists helped there. She gave up New York/everything for me, but because life is funny we were only married nine months in Santa Clara before fate led us to Minneapolis. Tonight, it's been a decade as husband and wife. When you think about everything that had to happen a certain way at a certain time, it's no wonder I consider myself the luckiest man in the galaxy to have such a beautiful, smart, creative, talented, passionate person to continue to put up with all the crazy shit that comes with an association to me. I love you so much, Kim Zimmerman. I have tried to put it into words, but I fail every time...it's indescribable and you pretty much had to be there. Fortunately, you're always there. You got me, you got me and you get me. Thank you for the ten years since that pretty great party we had where we made it official. At least eighty to go!
