I think I say this every year, but I can't possibly express the proper gratitude to all of you for taking time out for me yesterday. This goes times infinity to the dozen or so folks (all of whose names have been redacted to protect their reputations and also so I don't leave anybody out) who wished me well in person, especially the two of you who I absolutely could not recognise until you very patiently told me who you were and how we knew each other. Something something old age memory something? But when I finally woke up proper about an hour ago (and there's a hilarious story or two getting to THAT point, but I think those are ones which will go untyped and you'll have to ask me in person), I found it hard to believe just how happy I felt and how much love I was feeling, not just FROM you and the universe but how much love I wanted to express outwardly as well. We'll see if this can at least last through Thursday. ;-) I hope I can repay all of you as long as we're still here. |
