 | My rear left turn indicator lamp went out. This makes it flash twice as quickly when you signal to annoy you into getting it fixed before a cop pulls you over and reminds you you gotta present your yellow papers with your voided license. ANYWAY. With Cody's voice ringing out in my head saying "I WILL MAIM YOU IF YOU GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS FIX," I went to Napa to buy my own replacement - only to discover that in their massive aisle of replacements, they somehow didn't carry that kind of bulb. Using my best Napa Know Howâ„¢, I took a 20 minute detour to the "nearest" Auto Zone. Pair of bulbs was six bucks...wonder if I'll ever need that other one. Folks working the counter had many questions about my hair and my Costanza-sized wallet. I went home - here's the payoff - AND SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED TO DISASSEMBLE THE REAR HOUSING AND REPLACE THE BULB MYSELF, not paying thirty or forty or however many bucks to a mechanic to do it for me. (The Internet may have helped me on this one.)
So...today, at least, I was a man.
