This used to be Pooja Kori. She had over 350 friends who were all from India. This morning, all her photos disappeared, she moved to Nice, France, changed her name to "Vanessa Sara" and got a whole lot whiter. I'm having trouble buying it.

JOB NON-UPDATE: Got form rejection emails from Ecolab and Ameriprise today. At least I'm getting rejected by a higher class of company!

One of the contract companies is trying to put me forward for a 6 month thing with Optum, but it's challenging to work up enthusiasm.

Quick reminder of what I do: I have a decade of experience as a technical writer and knowledge manager working primarily in the technical support space, helping folks find solutions to their problems, ideally on their own without having to call anybody. I know Linux and UNIX, am a whiz with Excel pivot tables, can read (and occasionally debug!) code but can't write it, CAN read and write XML and HTML, do well prying information out of subject matter experts' heads and committing it to the digital realm, and this sentence and this paragraph are probably too long. Feel free to Share this post with anybody at your company because you are WAY better at networking than I appear to have been. We can also do the LinkedIn thing if somehow we haven't done that yet.

Been thinking about Kat almost constantly since she dropped off the grid in Nepal a week ago - think there's another week plus left? - and somehow, via a series of rabbit holes, ended up back in San Francisco with another awesome/obsessive runner. This film is about 18 minutes but once I started watching, I couldn't stop - and after it was over, I wanted more. None of this makes me want to leave the house and move faster than a walk like Kat or Rickey do (not to mention, in *insane* amounts), but..... it DOES make me want to keep walking "new" routes.

Here are my project results from the World Collage Day 2019 with Twin Cities Collage Collective - a continuing series of me repurposing old Symantec business cards by blocking out everything except my name and mobile number, the only information still current and useful. (And then I went ahead and redacted my number on THIS graphic...oh well.) I did ten in two hours, largely letting whatever scraps had already been created on the table guide me. (Last year I mostly used front covers of Cosmopolitan magazines, which yielded slightly different results - I'll see if I can find THOSE photos...no, I won't ;-) ) The intention is that some day I'd give you one of THESE cards, but I think I've only done it once or twice so far. There's Symantec certification stuff on the back, too, so everything had to have work done on both sides - so here're fronts and backs! I enjoy collaging but can't seem to do it alone, so I'm glad for opportunities like these!
