Last time I went to an actual CINEMA was to the Lagoon to see Phoenician Scheme in June 2025 which ended up being my only "see a movie in a theatre" that year. I'm doing even worse THIS year as I'm now told it's September for my first one of 2026. ANYWAY. Everybody loved this film and with good reason, I ALSO can't believe it even got made (and yes by Warner Brothers Discovery of all corporations) and how about that up and comer John Cena? I still wish it had ended with all the protagonists chowing down at Raising Caine's or something but that's not much of a complaint. Sure looks like it'll be gone by Friday so I'm glad I got a chance to pay six bucks (HEY still only $6.51 after tax on a Tuesday with their bogus membership thing!) to catch it on the one Tuesday I could have. Although... Marcus replaced the Coke Freestyle machines with an array of non-freestyle Pepsi products but I still got probably 64 ounces of Diet Dr Pepper out of my $14 "Tuesday combo" (giant popcorn and decently large pop, although their straws were surely compostable due to their absolute worthlessness) Hey, go read all my friends' reviews to learn about the actual movie, I'm no good at that (★★★★½) |
