IT'S NATIONAL VANILLA PUDDING DAY
ALSO THIS GUY'S BIRTHDAY
22.5.20 02:16
So the issue of Closer Weekly at Cub was the one I posted LAST week, so somehow I skipped over one. THIS ONE. I think everybody on this cover is dead except the royal.
21.5.20 19:23 I totally missed my favourite Cub going back to 24/7 hours! NOW I'm thinking my "better get there as soon as I can" grocery trip just changed into an "after midnight" grocery trip and I might as well try to capture the Closer Weekly cover in the wild. STAY TUNED

I've been nominated by Rissy Bird to post 10 favorite albums of all time in 10 days, in no particular order. Guidelines are only the albums that have deeply impacted me. Only the cover with no explanation and to nominate a friend to do the same every day.

I break chains, baby, but nominate yourself if you somehow haven't done this already. This is my second time around so without completely violating the "no explanation" rules, I'll just say this set of ten has deeply impacted me in a slightly different way. (4 of 10)

20.5.20 10:58 Today while finally taking control of my Xfinity account, their reps cheerfully provided Kim's phone number, current address AND last four digits of her social pretty much unprompted as I attempted to prove I was not her. They also revealed the fake last four digits of MY social which I wasn't able to crack on my own. Just stellar security, overall. I can't believe I was locked out of an online account for years because I was too "busy" to call them up given they were practically logging in for me by the time it was done. Ah well, who needs security on their cable TV, really? (I'm told people don't actually use cable TV in 2020 as it is, but I'm a boomer or something)

DEEP IN THE PANTRY, A CONTINUING SERIES: Even I can occasionally surprise myself by still finding canned meat sauce from the PREVIOUS previous decade and figuring "eh, what the hell" even as I hear my brother trying to tell me about tomatoes in cans and years again. Fear not, tho - the pasta box *did* have a date in 2020 on it. (Although it maaaaay have also been a date that's already passed)

18.5.20 11:42 It took me forty years to notice that Ian Curtis' death and the big Mt. St. Helens eruption were on the same day. Now I'm not saying they're related, but I'm not ready to say they're NOT related....gimme another 40 years to figure it out
18.5.20 10:05
Well it wouldn't be my "Discover Weekly" playlist if Spotify didn't serve up at least one weird ass cover version it felt I needed to know, WOULD IT

17.5.20 02:23 My Android Facebook don't have the avatar thing so you've all been spared (SO FAR) although if it's anything like my attempted Bitmoji experience, it'll suuuuuck and you won't see this one, either
17.5.20 02:06 Wow, this is a real bummer. Kat and I went the last time she was here and it's the only time I've ever (maybe) seen a ghost. Who knew it'd be our only chance?

Almost forgot to take my weekly look at the world of CLOSER - this cover features at least one person who is still alive!

Don't read this unless you have a lot of time to kill - wait, that's everybody. Read this.

14.5.20 17:33 Finally got my updated orders from MNIT - the key sentence was "You should anticipate you will continue teleworking for the next few months, possibly until the end of the year, maybe longer."
13.5.20 17:48 In another novel coronavirus first, the Fresh Thyme cashier complimented my nail polish (which looks just awful after all the hand washing, but still made me feel good)

Awwwww! My third piece of mail from Allison (I'm still at zero) in the coolest Talk Talk envelope AND I got homemade Pixelchu and Dollar Bin logo stickers!! (Records in the PO Box from Discogs merely used as lap desk, not from Allison :) ) THANK YOU AGAIN AGAIN!!!
11.5.20 13:50 Turns out I love shoegaze
11.5.20 11:21 Oh, come ON, 2020

QUARANTINE LIFE, DAY....I THINK IT'S 59: Finally gave in - several years ago, during one of our many Five Below stops during my tours of MoA with Allison, I invested five dollars plus tax in a sixpack of very bright nail polish which I never cracked open... until now!

Found a cache of DVDs I'd either forgotten I'd had or figured they'd ended up with my ex-wife. This wouldn't be a bad movie night or nights! I'm not sure I have the Region-free player hooked up at the moment, which is probably why the Region 2 ones weren't immediately missed. I STILL haven't seen Donnie Darko but at least I COULD

I've started denoting the passage of time by how many bunches of kale I've been buying (between buying bags of kale)

7.5.20 17:00 I'm at 931 friends and counting and somehow that video y'all were complaining about escaped my view here on the 'book for 18 hours, so....what can I tell ya? Keep tuning The Algorithmâ„¢ and eventually you too can live in a bubble of your own design, just like I do!
