Mike Tenay, Joey Styles, and Scott Hudson all CALL MOVES (remember that, Jim?). EDC: Dawn Marie is just so damn hot. And her Breast don't really disproportion her body any! K. CANZANELLA: Kuije rocks as a second to Abrijle. Abrijle is an average comedy wrestler with a wicked neon color dragon suit, and Kuije is his second who wears nearly the same get-up... except he is a midget. He does comedy spots and challenges the rudos, only to be punted, beaten with chairs and thrown in the air. Arn Anderson takes second since basically he was the only manager who did what a manager is supposed to do this year. NATHAN LONEY: Even if the match is boring, Meanie can perk up fans who've lost interest. :) The stuff about gimmicks: Hardcore Holly's "Big Shot" gimmick was probably the best new one this year. He wasn't a guy who wanted to kick ass. He wanted to kick the asses of BIG guys. Very entertaining. SVEN MASCARENHAS: Arn Anderson handed Benoit a title. In my book, that's enough to give him the win. Besides, he's still a great interview, and the spinebuster on Kidman on that one Thunder episode brought a tear to my eye. Mona combines great looks and some good talent; Dawn Marie is just hot, so she's on here in lieu of Chyna, who just doesn't have "it" any more. DON BECKER: Dawn Marie really piques my interest... and if I mention what else she does for me, my girlfriend would slap me. Chris Jericho's jump to the WWF was a disappointment because it ended Ralphus' career. And Jack Victory gets the sympathy vote for being wheelchair-bound :) SHAWN MULLIN: Lodi and the Posse actually helped the wrestlers they were with get over as heels. It's not often a manager does that these days. Dawn Marie is just really hot :) and she's got amazing charisma. MAX CHITTISTER: I've been down on wrestling women all year, but I do enjoy Dawn Marie. She's no Ralphus, though. Keep the Fink around for a couple more weeks and he sneaks in at number 3 instead of the Meanie. JONATHAN P. HOWE: The scale is the greatest second in history. You know it's almost always going to get involved and it doesn't have to worry about getting hurt. JBELL55146: Steve Corino<1st> is hilarious. The Mean Street Possee<2nd> are cool and will take hella bumps. and Debra<3rd> cuz well...Puppies! CAN00K: I like breasts. PAUL SHOCK: Chyna, because she's just really damn cool. Dawn Marie, because she's hot and she stands by her man. Lodi, because of his signs and he stands by his man...oh sorry, his brother. BLOB: There is no better valet than Torrie Wilson. DAMN, SHE IS GORGEOUS~! Ryan Shamrock & Miss Kitty aren't too far behind. GEORGE CARTER: Arn Anderson as a manager has so much potential. He wins this award only because we saw him do a spinebuster during David Flair matches (that along with Torrie Wilson were the only reasons why I didn't hate David so much). Mona was equally impressive and Chyna did her usual stuff. JOHN C.:Debra managed the tag champs, the IC champ and "won" the Women's title so she's obviously the pick here. Since Torrie and Mona are both pretty hot it was a tough choice but I go with Debra because she has the bigger breasts and when all is said in done isn't that what matters? I know we are supposed to call them puppies but I'm a normal person and call them breasts, I guess I may need counseling. ELLIOT SPARKS: Though Joel Gertner still gets the nod, Chyna gets my second best vote for best second (which is confusing, but only to the simple minded). Why? Because outside the ring is where she belongs and excels, and she should remain there until she learns to wrestle. SEAN FLYNN: Anyone who didn't enjoy Gertner's schtick is either humor-impaired or dead. Ralphus helped give Jericho that goofy mystique. AA because well, I need someone for third_he swings a mean tire iron too. MARK SMITH: Ryan Shamrock was the hottest woman in the wrestling world this year. Too bad she might end up with the Maestro. B. SZPAKOWICZ: Corino, cause he's amazingly obnoxious and annoying and *entertaining*, and Dawn Marie and Miss Kitty cause, well, cause they're hot. RICK SCAIA: The role of the manager is a lost art. As the wrestlers themselves become more reliant on their own mic skills and catchphrases, the need for a real manager -- in the style of Bobby Heenan circa 1987 -- has diminished, I guess. Joel Gertner never really managed, but his pre-match spiels with the Dudley Boyz made him the best second in the business this year. Bill Alfonso is a more traditional manager type, and gets second on the list. The other part of the reason managers seem to have disappeared: it's easier to get a cheap pop if you're hanging with a hot chick than with some retired, out-of-shape wrestler. So in third place is my long-standing personal favorite of the female valets, Terri Runnels. JEREMY SORIA: Gotta love Chris Jericho's lackeys in WWF and WCW. Some great hilarious stuff. And the Blue Meanie in WWF was hilarious, Bluedust and the Blue World Order again was great. OTTO "HACK-MAN" HEUER: Best Second (Manager) : Dawn Marie & Torrie Wilson for their Talent & Ability (thank you Mark Madden) and Ralphus for making me laugh. |
