After several of you shamed me for not picking up a tiny $2.29 bag of these at the Speedway, I did end up dropping four bucks on a "sale" full-size bag (note Frito-Lay's new $5.59 suggested retail price - inflation is real and it's bonkers) because you KNOW you need the most chips possible in the event that you don't like them. And....well.......I'm not wild about these. First of all, I think these are the most LADEN chips I've ever seen - look at these! Somehow all that spice doesn't rub off on your fingertips like it's a Cheeto but DANG this is some DARKNESS. The bag touts it's "tangy"ness but I'm not thrilled by it. You definitely get the citric acid hit (which sometimes is more evocative of lime than tamarind) and the spices are spicy but not in that "American" spicy Doritos way. Some people are gonna love these. I'm not one of them. I WILL finish them but it will take me a few days - so maybe that's a good thing t!
