| 11.10.16 11:44 |  |  | Today is National Coming Out Day, my company tells me - they encouraged us to support pride and wear purple and handed out purple bracelets in case we needed some purple to wear. I have to admit that living in my tiny bubble, I wouldn't have known this day was coming up without reminders from external sources, and I feel bad about that. Also, wearing my Prince shirt under my Lynx jersey feels like the bare minimum. All that said...as mostly empty gestures go, it's nice and I'm glad I work at a company that tries to be as sensitive and inclusive to as many of my coworkers/friends as possible.
It DOES give me chance to give you an occasional reminder than I love you, no matter which letter you are - LGBTQIAPDKCRZ. I checked myself but I'm still straight...ALTHOUGH I do have regrets not trying harder to get my photographer friend to let me model for them as a woman...I still think I could pull it off with enough help with my hair. |
