| | #tbt By this time in my high school career, I was in the Key Club so I got into all the dances for free (for "moving tables" in the forum) and I was also manager/stats for the Varsity basketball team (demoted from the scorebook to tracking assists and/or rebounds - I didn't know how good I had it with the sophomore team!), where I ended up earing an honorary letter...which no doubt thrilled all the real athletes who cared about that stuff. It also got me into basketball games for free, so I'm pretty sure that's why there's no sticker on THIS one. I know several of you are keeping track of this stuff on my behalf. ;-) Basically, my high school career seems to boil down to "hair, glasses and braces." 1987 (5th in a series of 6) |

| They started with "Numbers" like it was the old days! They played "Metropolis" and it looked FANTASTIC! They played "Spacelab!!!!" and I wanted to CRY! They played....they played "Nachrichten" for some reason and I was baffled! They took out some of the more boring "Tour de France Soundtracks" tracks! And, as always, they ended with Ralf's very melodic, sorta-but-not-improvised solo on "Music Non Stop" and an extra long bow for an extra long ovation from a mostly great crowd (for added authenticity, there were some truly obnoxious Europeans in the row behind who didn't shut up for about 2:15 of the 2½ hour concert - so, Phil, you MIGHT have dodged a bullet there) but nonetheless...probably tied with the first time I saw them for my all-time favourite Kraftwerk show of the five times I've been fortunate enough to see them. I spent too much of it slack-jawed with a complete inability to close my mouth at what I was watching. 3D WAS AMAZING. SHOW WAS AMAZING. I'M SO HAAAAAAAAPPYYYYYYYYYY |
