21.6.16 12:04 | | My sister-in-law wrote a book! She actually wrote three books, but they were all ebooks UNTIL NOW THEY ARE A REAL BOOK (EDIT: ebooks are real books, I know you know what I mean, I'm older than you) and you need a book to read, right? It's summer reading season! She says it's "snarky retro vampire fiction" but what I can tell you is that anybody who married my brother HAS to have a superb sense of humour and be pretty creative to boot, so you know it's gonna be awesome. You can tell from the titles it's all 1980s and musically-inspired and sarcastic and BUY IT ALREADY. My copy's gonna be in my mailbox on Friday! It will be read by Monday!* Then we can all talk about it!
*probably overly optimistic, but we'll see what kind of weekend I have |

 | gusgus, and in particular their three most recent albums, are strong "go to" selections at work when I can't be bothered to think of something to play. This single is a definite highlight of that body of work.

 | Video - Via On This Day: I almost never go back and watch these because it's shocking how much it looks like my life HASN'T changed, but I talk about Dad a little bit and it IS Father's Day so it kind of works out. With me, that ten minutes just BREEZES by, don't it? (YouTube: CRZ 110) |

19.6.16 06:17 | | Fans, there is no feeling like the feeling that you've arrived home from your nearly 90 minute bike ride to discover that you'd left your front door open the entire time. I'm going to live dangerously and NOT sweep the house for extra people |
19.6.16 06:16 | | Clearly the nearly naked man squatting alongside the greenway was not going to be able to ACTUALLY poop until he was certain that I had seen him. "Uhhhhhhhhhh!" he yelled. "Ahhhhhhhh!" I responded as I biked by. |
