I really love when The Orb takes a known track and distorts it into something almost recognisable. Here's a pretty good example. I'll have another good one tomorrow! (By the way...this one wasn't on YouTube, so I put it there myself. If I can successfully avoid the copyright police, I'll try doing this more in the future, so let me know if you have any requests!)

Just before the left the music business, we were treated to maybe The KLF's finest hour. Well, not this. There's a live performance I'll have to link later in a comment, but for now....MERRY CHRISTMAS and ENJOY

This was one of the badorb.com projects - Alex's brother Martin was listed as writer/producer and his... father, I think? provided the "vocals." This closed out one of the "Le Petite Orb" DJ sets I attended in San Francisco back in the day and was a pretty emotional moment due to the family involvement.

Thanks to consecutive 10+ mile walking days, I somehow weigh less right now than I did before the State Fair started. Vince always loved the one-offs between long-term gigs. Even after kinda stabilizing with Erasure, he STILL had that VCMG project...but I'm getting ahead of myself (and also not sharing any of those tracks) - the B side of this one is really good, too. Maybe I WILL share that one later today...we'll see if I remember by the time this autoposts.

I was always tickled by the original version still having a male (guide?) vocal buried in there, especially during the "by YOUR siiiiiiide" bit. "Hmm, wonder which one of the three ladies on the album cover was the bass..." They later rerecorded it and it was much less fun. Hopefully I have linked you to the version I wanted you to hear.
