How shitty are the optics ALREADY that the delegation felt that sending a letter like this would even need to be necessary? The City Council sure don't look like the grown ups in the room RT @WedgeLIVE: City Council can side with their own professional staff, their own policies, Metro Transit, the entire Minneapolis state legislative delegation. Or defer to Lisa Goodman, who has consistently been on the wrong side of history when it comes to transit.

12.5.22 07:43 I personally endorse Al Grande for all matter of plumbing and general handyness! Al came over and replaced a garbage disposal unit that rusted shut something like seven years ago which I had never gotten around to getting done. It feels SO GOOD to finally have something taken care of that I had put off for really no good reason other than I knew I wasn't quite smart enough to know how to do it while also too happy to procrastinate on finding somebody who could. I know he prefers replacing toilets but I'm here to tell you he'll do kitchen stuff too and the price is right!

@masonbutler @KFAIweekend To be fair, I would probably have undersold tonight as my 7-day said Thursday would be worse. I hope that's not still the case! I've already learned all about a brand new leak in my entryway that (I think) didn't exist before tonight's nonsense

One of the cool things to come out of the discussion of his star on the Hollywood walk of fame was the news that "Jim Hong" first came to prominence while still attending the U as a guest on "You Bet Your Life" back in 1954, winning Groucho Marx AND the audience over with his impressions. Amazingly, it's available on the ol' Internet:

(Shared from You Bet Your Life radio show 2/3/54 Unedited)
In this full recording before being edited, Groucho meets a schoolteacher and a college student, a pair of restaurant owners, and a man from the Chamber of C...

All these choices are terrible but I always said I'd only run for governor as a Republican so you wouldn't have to vote for the pillow man in the primary and fortunately I don't see him here

(Check that, I remember ALSO saying I'd run for governor if it would get me
@verified) RT @JohnCroman: For the record, here's the slate of gubernatorial candidates on this weekend's Minnesota GOP convention endorsement ballot. The official candidate filing period runs from May 17 to May 31, so technically many others could still file to run in the August primary.
