Today I went back to my albums and packed a crate of "I can't believe I still own - or ever owned - this stuff" instead of my usual batch of 12" singles. (There were still some 12" singles.) After starting with my recent trend of going fully pop, somehow Miguel and I settled into a battle of smooth yacht rock sets, which is not where I thought the night would go and yet...it was definitely all in the crate. We ended up with a pretty nice size crowd, some of whom tried to line dance to everything for some reason, a couple very enthusiastic folks who knew all the words, and overall a very open-minded crew of generous tippers - I can afford another Harry Styles album maybe! We traded off with half hour sets and then lingered on pretty far after 1. Sorry, as usual I only wrote down my spins but here they are..
