Checking on my Texas Cherry friends?
Brandy y'all ok down there?
It's flooding horribly up here north of Houston. My street currently is a river but thankfully it's not up to my house. All the main streets around us is flooded. The rain has not let up all week. If it keeps going like this Houston will be under water again.
Please send good vibes, prayers and thoughts to those that are already dealing with flooding. I have friends north of me flooded out of their homes. So sad.
It's a good thing I'm staying in all weekend a crafting just pray the power stays on!

Yes unfortunately it's that time of the year in Texas. We don't do anything small even the rain is Texas sized. Luckily I'm on higher ground where I live. But we have had so much growth around us last year. I hope the water stays away from house!!

This is from my ring.
My neighbors yard is getting flooded and if you can see the flowing river that's my street at the moment.

Re: Checking on my Texas Cherry friends?
This was yesterday around 5:30 pm. It is much worse now. I live 30 miles North of Houston and it is really bad. There was a mandatory "Evacuation by Sunset" issued yesterday....I can only imagine what today will bring.
My Aunt already has 2 feet of water in her house and they had to get rescued by boat. It hit that hard and that fast.
I am not likely going to be flooded...I am not super close to the rivers...but I will be flooded into my home...meaning unable to go anywhere.

Mercy Misty! Stay safe. It's so crazy how quickly it all came. You are close to me! I'm about thirty minutes north of Houston as well. Everything around me is flooded. I'm a little higher ground. So mostly the streets get flooded. I just hope it stays away from my house. I'm flooded into my home as well. So sorry about your aunt. It's so heartbreaking how one night of rain can be so tragic. Praying it will let up and dry out soon.

Re: Checking on my Texas Cherry friends?
Thank you friends. I will be on the boards throughout the day. Keeping my phone fully charged in case power outages. Keeping everyone updated. Crazy Texas weather coming in strong. I have so many reports of my friends getting flooded out of their homes. I'm so sad for them. Seeing all the pictures is so tragic. It literally came in quickly. We knew we were getting hit with bad weather. But we are always hopeful that there is no flooding.
