We understand.

It's a DAW....not a box of assorted chocolatesDanilo Villanova wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:44 pm The only REAL issue in Reaper, regarding stock plugins, is the lack of a decent sampler. Bitwig. Live, etc., all have more than decent samplers for melodic and drum samples. RS5K just makes me sad.
REAL issue?Danilo Villanova wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:44 pm The only REAL issue in Reaper, regarding stock plugins, is the lack of a decent sampler. Bitwig. Live, etc., all have more than decent samplers for melodic and drum samples. RS5K just makes me sad.
They all suck. And lack native integration.mabian wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 2:03 pmREAL issue?Danilo Villanova wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:44 pm The only REAL issue in Reaper, regarding stock plugins, is the lack of a decent sampler. Get the free tx16wx (limited but still powerful in the free version) or OneSmallClue Grace+Poise or, if you wish, a paid sampler. Solved. I don't really see any issue here...

N.B. REAL issues for me are the having the DAW crashing or unstable / getting in the way of creativity and content creation flow / basic functionality missing or incomplete. Not the case at all here.
Enjoy your alternative DAW then with samplers with all the integration you need and don't suck. But .. With all you save with a reaper license compared to the cost of those alternative draws .. Won't you be able to get the best samplers around, and probably still have something left for other purchases?Danilo Villanova wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 7:03 pmThey all suck. Native integration ? Do you really think Halion is less integrated than Cubase if you use in another Daw. Obviously, the answer is noDanilo Villanova wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 7:03 pmThey all suck. Halion is not the Cubase sampler, the sampler track is.Gam456 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 1:57 am Native integration ? Do you really think Halion is less integrated than Cubase if you use in another Daw. Obviously, the answer is no
Many people rather to have their own third party compressor, eq, synth, delay, reveb, modulation
Who really use these Go of generics loops, sample provided by Cubase, Bitwig etc..
When you choose a tool like Reaper, you want a DAW rather than an instrumentBlaster wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 11:02 pmHalion is not the Cubase sampler, the sampler track is.Gam456 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 1:57 am Native integration ? It's all about the possibility to add a single sample and do something quick and creative with it.
One thing about HALion and Groove Agent uniqe in Cubase is, you can send to them from Sampler Track.
ctrl+alt, drag and drop in Reaper - not big deal and probably there are better ways with some actionsandypryce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 5:48 amOne thing about HALion and Groove Agent uniqe in Cubase is, you can send to them from Sampler Track.
You can edit/manipulate your sample and then select "Transfer to HALion"
Or slice a sample in Sample Track and send it to Groove Agent with one click which places each slice on a Pad.
(You can also Transfer to Padshop 2 or BackBone)
I am not talking about sending/dropping samples to HALion. Sampler Track is Cubase's instrument for quick single layer samples which you can do a lot of things with. You can convert this instrument to an HALion instrument with all the parameters intact and matched in HALionsandandpaint wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 6:14 amctrl+alt, drag and drop in Reaper - not big deal and probably there are better ways with some actionsandypryce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 5:48 amOne thing about HALion and Groove Agent uniqe in Cubase is, you can send to them from Sampler Track.

(not bouncing it as an audio and sending it to HALion)
so you can continue to use it with further features of HALion.
It is like Ableton Simpler to Sampler or Logic Quick Sampler to Sampler
