I've refunded the EQ from FabFilter since it's a little bit too expensive for me in the end.

Any mid side EQ can do that. You can use a high pass or a low shelf on the side-signal only.

I am betting you will like the sound of the low shelf as it is not as extreme a process as the HPF. You still want your bass to sound musical (and balanced), and not completely erased from the sides.

the stock channel eq can do this, just use it in mid side as mentioned. if you own any plugin alliance stuff, a lot of their plugins have the mono maker functionality. i use kilohearts multi pass, i basically created a preset that’s got an adjustable mono maker in it, along with a few other common things i may need to do on a track including a few options for dynamics control (multiband and not), saturation, adding velocity sensitivity for an instrument that may not offer that on its own, and a limiter at the end. by default the only function i have “on” is the limiter (i have this multi pass instance at the end of my default channel strip in logic), but i can very easily bring in whatever of those functions i might need for a given track.its just a time saver having that already done and ready to go if i need it. if you don’t own the kilohearts stuff, multi pass is a particularly useful tool, just make sure and download the free bundle as well if you get it
